Advance rat & mouse food should be fed with a daily portion of suitable fresh vegetables & a small piece of lean cooked meat like chicken twice a week. As a treat the occasional small portion of fresh fruit, a few dried mealworms or a hard-boiled egg is ideal.

Overcoming selective feeding:

Mr Johnson's Advance RAT & MOUSE FOOD contains a balanced diet in every mouthful therefore overcoming selective feeding.

Rats and mice, if overfed, can become overweight therefore should be fed twice a day, dividing their daily requirements into two meals, feeding morning and evening ensuring any uneaten food is removed before refilling.

Changing your rat or mouses diet:

Your rat or mouse's diet should never be altered suddenly as abrupt changes could trigger digestive upsets, especially in baby rat's and mice that are stressed (for example if they have moved to a new home). If you want to alter their diet, it is recommended that this change takes place gradually over a 7-10 day period. This can be done by mixing small quantities of the new food with their existing food and increasing the proportions until it is fully changed over.

Feeding guide:

This advice is a guide only. Advance rat & mouse food is a complementary food and should be fed with suitable fresh fruit and vegetables.
